The Junior Past President is the mentor of the jurisdiction and the Chairman of the Membership Retention Committee. While this is not an elected position, he still has a vote at all meetings.
Responsibilities
- Provide guidance to the current President and support the board with experience and stability.
- Maintain continuity. Past challenges, past solutions, and the history behind decisions help the jurisdiction avoid repeating mistakes.
- Lead membership retention efforts for the jurisdiction.
- Support membership and assist with program planning. Mentorship, not management.
