Role of Vice President

The Vice President is the Vice-President of the corporation and supports the President in all Lodge functions, while also preparing to assume greater leadership responsibilities.

Duties include:

  • Attend all Lodge meetings, Board of Officers meetings, and Executive Sessions.
  • Memorize and deliver their part of the Opening Ceremony.
  • Assist in maintaining decorum and order during Lodge meetings.
  • Preside over meetings in the absence of the President.
  • Serve as Acting President if the President’s office becomes vacant, until an election or appointment is made.
  • Assist with vote counting when necessary.
  • Stay prepared to take on the President’s responsibilities in the future.
     

Qualifications

  • Strong organizational and leadership skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with officers and members
  • Knowledge of Moose International policies
  • Commitment to supporting the lodge’s mission and goals
