The Treasurer manages the money side of Association meetings and serves on the Financial Committee.
Responsibilities
- Collect all money due the Association at meetings, conferences, and conventions, and issue receipts.
- Keep an accounting of all receipt books by receipt number.
- Sign authorized checks (the Treasurer or the President shall sign all authorized checks).
- Assist the Association Secretary with bank deposits at meetings.
- Maintain a current inventory of all Association purchased equipment and report its status and replacement needs at the annual convention.
- Assist with acquiring meeting sites and finalizing hotel contracts.
- Prepare the annual budget with the Secretary and give a budget report at each annual convention.
- Review all current bills with the Board of Officers or Executive Committee, checked against receipts for financial review.
- Know how to access all Association records, accounts, safes, and files held by the Secretary's office.
